UFTCL signs agreement to test DSE’s API sharing
Initially 24 of DSE’s brokerage firms have applied to operate trading activities through the shared API of the DSE.
Brokerage firm United Financial Trading Company Limited (UFTCL) has entered into agreement with the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Wednesday to conduct the user acceptance test of sharing the bourse’s application program interface (API).
In a statement, the premier bourse said initially 24 of its brokerage firms have applied to operate trading activities through the shared API of the DSE, which would enable the brokers to enter the DSE trading engine from their own platform.
The UFTCL came to experience the new way to connect with the core trading engine following Lanka Bangla Securities’ recent agreement with the DSE.
On Wednesday, DSE Chief Operating Officer M Saifur Rahman Majumder, UFTCL Chairman Abdul Awal, and Quant Bangladesh, the technology vendor to UFTCL, Managing Director Nateq Be-Nazir Ibn Minar represented their respective organisations in the agreement paper.
DSE Managing Director Kazi Sanaul Hoq, Product and Market Development Head Syed Al Amin Rahman, Public Relations Head Md Shafiqur Rahman, UFTCL Director Hassan Zabed Chowdhury, Quant Bangladesh Director Ahsan Ullah Raju were also present at the signing ceremony.
